  2. I think that Hillary Clinton has the best chance of winning. I don't agree with anything she says, and I wouldn't vote for her, but she is definitely the most popular candidate. Everybody knows who Hillary Clinton is. I bet that everyone in the US that is 12 or older has heard her name and seen her face before.

    1. Exactly! I agree with that, because I'm from Brazil and I already knew Hillary Clinton; she is the only in the list that I knew. I think that her great popularity can favor her to become a president.

    2. I don't think Hillary will win because she is really getting up there in age. Yes she is well known, but what about when we tried to impeach her husband with his cheating scandal. She also already stepped down from her previous job for health issues, and last year she was in the hospital so I think that right there is a major losing point.

    3. I agree 100% with Brett. She is a house-held name, and people who are not well-informed on the situation of the upcoming election might just as well pick a name that has been tossed around. Although her age may severely limit her chances of winning, it doesn't exactly mean people won't vote for her. They will vote for who they have heard the most about, and sometimes that can be a heavy negative for our country.

    4. I dont think that she has a very good chance anymore because she is getting old and people are starting to forget about her because there are more possible female candidates now.

  3. I think that Hillary Clinton has a greater chance of winning, because she is very popular. I'm from Brazil and Hillary Clinton is the only person in the list of women candidates who I already knew. I don't know many things about her ideias and issues, but I think if she is popular for me, she is very popular for all Americans, and popularity is a good factor to become someone a president.

    1. I definitely agree with this. Even though I don't like to admit it, I think that Hillary is going to win the election in 2016 if she runs.

  4. I will play devil's advocate here. Hillary will be 68 in 2016 and has already had health problems which will make her a less attractive candidate for the Dem. party . I think a more viable candidate will surface from the list above.

  5. I think that Susana Martinez will win, because we haven't had a latino american as president yet. There is also a lot of latino americans in this country, and they would probably vote for her. She has already had lots of firsts and I don't see why she can't be president. Yes she is an immigrant, but our relatives were all immigrants at one time.

  6. I dont think Hillary is going to win because she's old and although she might have a lot of experience I don't think she is capable to run a country especially in her age. If anyone were to be elected i think being a fresh face is not bad but the thing is we know Hillary all to well and her face is one we've seen way to many times. We already know what she's about and that could be a good or bad thing but to me its bad. Now my main focus is not her age because truly everyone should know that women live longer than men, but still no one should be running a country if they're the same age as my grandma i don't even trust my grandma to watch my goldfish and they don't even have legs! I truly don't know who might win but i think if Kamala Harris really wanted to it could happen and maybe even Susana Martinez because i kinda liked her. Jenna has a point.

  7. I would like to believe that Susana Martinez does, in fact, have a supporting position on the next couple of election ballets. Considering that our nation does consist of many Latino's, she does have a valid chance on gaining much support within the next couple of years. She appears to be involved with the many middle class citizens, and appeals to their issues, making her a sure candidate in the election. Many people like to see community involvement with political figures like her; as a result, individuals will vote for a person (like her) who they see fit in this situation.

  8. I believe that Amy Klobuchar will win the presidential candidate because she is very good at speeking and also has high expectations for herself. Also she can do many things for the United States if she became president. She is very smart and talented. This is my paragraph.

  9. I think Kristi Knoem should win because she is willing to work with democrats. This makes her a good candidate because she make more compromises.

    1. I think you are referring to Kelly Ayotte, Jenna's candidate from NH. She has a good record of working with the other side. On the other hand, I showed Mr. Nordine a few speeches and he really liked Kristi Noem's speech.

  10. I think that Kirsten Gillibrand would be a good candidate because she is working with both sides trying to get control. Shes already a senator in New York, shes only 46 years old as well so shes not as old as some of the other possible candidates

    1. True! Although she is young, she has the time to still be an age-appropriate candidate for the next few elections. She has the experience.

  11. I think Kristi Noem should win because she is the right age and speaks cearly and good.

  12. i think that if Hilary Clinton runs, she will win. but if she doesn't run, then amy klobuchar will be on the final vote for the democratic side because she is very well liked in her home state. she is right at the perfect age for being elected also.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I don't think that Amy Klobuchar will be in the final ballot. Yes she is liked in our state by some people, but we are only one state with 8 electoral votes. I don't think she will make it really far because there is other stronger democratic women from other sates that have better experience, and those states also have more electoral votes.

  13. Condoleezza Rice is very good candidate. She definitely has the credentials that would be needed. She was the 66th secretary of state. I also think that she is the appropriate age for president. She is definitely not too young. She has a lot of government experience, but yet she is not too old either. I aslo think that she is a good speaker. She can keep your attention, and she is very interesting to listen to. She has no children, and I think that that is the only thing that goes against her.

    1. personally, I don't like how she used to be democrat and switched to republican. I think that either side wouldn't really be able to trust her because she someone could come along and persuade her to switch again.

  15. Hilary Clinton---if she can handle the Benghazi fiasco, she will have a great shot. Name recognition--everyone knows her--this is huge, stood by her husband through a publicized affair, Senator, Secretary of State, already served 8 years as the first lady. Strong background and almost got the nomination in 2008!

  17. Out of the day 2 candidate selections, I would like to say that Kirsten Gillibrand would be on my top list for a possible election. Although she is apart of the Democratic party, I believe her ability to have a controlled and not to over-powering tone while speaking makes her a very collective candidate. People might now be looking for someone who can handle panic situations and turn them into a controlled environment. Her age can also benefit for this situation because she would not be too old to be apart of office for the next couple of upcoming elections. She also use to be apart of the education rights for the people of New York, which appealed to many guardians of public youth students. Her appeal to the middle class could most likely get her to be apart of the election campaign.

  18. I also would like to believe that Janet Napolitano also has a supporting chance in the upcoming election because of her house-held name recognition; However, unlike Clinton, she is known well for justified reasons. She was one of the highest ranking woman politicians because of her service in Homeland Security. She is also cited by the New York Times to be likely be the first female president. She is also at an age many consider to be presidential appropriate. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janet_Napolitano

  19. I dont really care what president wins as long as they know what they're doing

  20. I think Nikki Haley is a good candidate, but after some research I found out there is a scandal where on person claims they had a affair with her. She denied the accusions, but you never know what is true or not. Also some people think she spends too much, because she went to Paris and spent 127,000 of tax payer money on her trip.

  21. I beleive to candidates for the rupublican side that may have a chance in making it to the presidential candidate is Condelena Rice and Kristi Noem and for the Dmocratic side will be Amy Klobachuar and Hilary Clinton but at the same time i believe that Janet Napolitano has a high chance to because she is just as good as hilary and Amy. Janet has done alot so i believe she has a good chance to.

  22. I don't think Hillary Clinton because she had a stomach virus that led to dehydration, a fall, a concussion, and a blood clot near her brain. She's obviously not healthy enough to take on the important role of being president I'm sure there is other stuff she wants to do before she dies and I doubt that being president is her dying wish.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I like Nikki Haley because she is a good speaker. I think she is a good candidate apart from the scandal. But I also don't know if we could trust her.

  24. Out of all those Potential female Presidents that are on the board I would have to say I want Nikki Haley to become the first female president because she just stood out to me.

  26. I don't think that Janet Napolitano will make the ballot for the democratic party, because she is the new president at UC which is a good job that she would have to quit if she ran for president. She even stepped down from her job as Homeland Security Secretary to go to her new job. I think she is content with her new job and doesn't want to do anything else.

  27. I think that in the chance that Hillary Clinton doesn't run then Kamala Harris has a good chance of making the democratic candidate. And I think Kristi Noem has a good chance of making the republican candidate.

    1. I agree with this. Kristi Noem is definitely a good candidate for the republican party. She is a very strong speaker. She seems very real. She's going to say what she truly believes, and not what she thinks you want her to say. I think that she is the best speaker out of all the possible female candidates.

  28. I think kamala Harris could win because of her ability to pull strings. For example:Her approach to crime, which she termed as “Smart on Crime,” insteaHer approach to crime, which she termed as “Smart on Crime,” instead of the cliché tough or Felony conviction rate has risen to its highest level in fifteen years, while recidivism rate has plummeted from 54% to less than 10%.

  29. I believe that the best democratic candidate would be Amy Klobuchar because she is the 2nd most well liked senator right now and she is pretty neutral, leaning a little left on the political scale so she could agree with both side.

  30. I think that the best republican candidate is Kristi Noem. She is definitely a strong speaker. I think that that is the best thing that she has going for her. It is fair to say that she is the best and most genuine sounding speaker out of all the possible candidates. She was noted by the Daily Caller as be very tough and knowledgable.
